Islander Charters San Diego: Sportfishing, Scuba Diving, Great White Shark Cage Diving and Custom Charters

M/V Islander is a San Diego based, USCG inspected, long range sport fishing vessel. While her primary function is carrying passengers on multi-day sport fishing trips, Islander is designed and outfitted for much more. Trips vary from the action-packed excitement of offshore Tuna fishing to the more serene satisfaction of a Channel Islands scuba dive. On each and every trip, Islander's dedicated professionals cut no corners providing clients with an exceptional experience through the most comprehensive and attentive customer service available on the water.

Islander's schedule is seasonal and typically runs from May through November. Spring trips include fishing and diving as well as mother-ship kayak trips. Typical destinations of these trips are the Channel Islands or the Mexican coast. Once summer and warmer water arrives, Islander focuses her efforts on the fertile offshore banks and the variety of game fish to be found there. Islander spends the fall months of October and November cage diving with Great White Sharks at Guadalupe Island, 220 miles southwest of San Diego.

Though she has long been a part of the San Diego sport fishing fleet, Slaughter & Conniff's ownership has brought about many upgrades making Islander extremely versatile. These upgrades include a mast/ boom for equipment handling, high pressure dive compressors for high pressure or low pressure dive operations, and a transom mounted swim step for easy water access. Additionally, extensive remodels have been made in the heads, galley and salon area adding to Islander's reputation as a meticulously maintained vessel.
