Located 90 miles south of San Diego, Punta San Jose and its robust kelp offer many dive opportunities. The most notable dive site here is a classic spire rising up from 240' of water and topping out at 55'.

This pinnacle is covered with thick palm kelp which shelters a plethora of marine life including Green Abalone, Red Abalone, Purple Lip Rock Scallops and lobster of all sizes.
