This reef is located about 6 miles west of San Quintin and consists of an exposed reef structure about ΒΌ mile square.

It is surrounded on all sides by deep water providing a constant source of nutrient rich water supporting its unusually dense population of invertebrates. From early spring through the late fall, the Breakers are also home to large schools of yellowtail.
