Islander Charters continues to lead the way when it comes to kayak mothership trips with an ambitous journey to the San Benitos islands and Cedros island. After numerous excursions to both San Clemente and Catlina islands, Todos Santos island and even the Cortez Bank we are now going farther and longer to the most fertile Yellowtail grounds on the coast - maybe the planet. This trip will give kayak anglers the opportunity to explore untouched areas inaccessible by boat or car. Potential rewards for the effort could be trophy size Yellowtail, Halibut, White Sea Bass and Calico Bass. These islands were custom made for kayak fisherman and this trip is a must for any 'yak' enthusiast ready for the next level. When it comes to kayak mothership trips we set the standard - to find out why call our office at 619-224-4388 for trip details.

Timing is everything, and on trips of this length time is definitely on your side. These trips will fish deep in Mexican waters targeting Albacore, Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Dorado and Yellowtail. Offshore fishing will most likely be complemented by a visit to scenic islands such as Guadalupe, San Benitos, Cedros and/or Natividad. For many years Guadalupe island has been the go-to place to fish for large Yellowfin Tuna. Fish in excess of 150 pounds are not uncommon in the fall as well as record size Yellowtail. Likewise, Cedros Island and the San Benitos islands offer what may be the best Yellowtail fishing on the planet. Limit style fishing with many fish pushing 40 pounds is not uncommon at these destinations.
