What your trip includes
Price includes meals. Price does not include permits, excise tax and drinks. Islanders ticket prices are based in accordance with the current price of diesel fuel. Should the price exceed $3.00 per gallon it may be necessary to impose a fuel surcharge.

Throughout the trip Rice Bowl keeps the ball rolling with games, contests and an amazing array of giveaways. Anglers can expect to receive free tackle as well as various apparel from Rice Bowl and some of his many sponsors. This year Rice Bowl has trips varying in length from 2 days to 5 days. Anglers on the spring 3 day may spend some time offshore in search of early season Albacore or Bluefin. Coastal Yellowtail and rockfish are also popular targets on this trip. June through August trips will focus on offshore pelagics such as Tuna, Yellowtail and Dorado and the 4 and 5 day trips can expect a visit to either Guadalupe Island or the Cedros/Benitos area.

This trip marks the beginning of an exciting adventure for the Islander as we explore for both fish and waves. Long noted for its spectacular terrain and
wave potential, the Baja peninsula abounds with possibilities.
Guests on this trip can expect to fish both offshore and near the coast with a stop at Benitos Island as well. In recent years early June has seen good fishing for Albacore and Bluefin offshore not to mention the excellent potential for Yellowtail along the coast and at Benitos.
June also marks the beginning of south swell activity along this coast which makes this trip's timing excellent. Possible surf destinations include the Seven Sisters and Natividad, as well as a possible stop at one of the many isolated points between Santo Tomas and San Quentin. These spots are a natural for live aboard trips as access from land is often very difficult.
With shuttle skiffs and water level swim step the Islander is fully outfitted to make this trip a reality. Guests on this trip are limited to two boards as space is a consideration.

Nearly anyone with even a mild interest in sportfishing is familiar

Our sights will be set on the famous Cortez bank located 105 miles due west of San Diego. This open ocean seamount rises from the ocean floor almost breaking the surface. The shallows are covered in thick kelp which are home to the White Seabass, Yellowtail and Bonito but the real draw is the possibility of true pelagics like Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna and Dorado. Fall is the ideal time to fish the Cortez and weather permitting, the Islander will be there. Day two will fish San Clemente Island for fall Seabass, Yellows and of course world class Calico fishing.

Dive
San Clemente Island, located 60 miles west of San Diego, is a top dive destination. Excellent visibility, a wide variety of dive sights and an abundance of marine life make San Clemente the shining star of the Channel Islands. Steep walls, Pinnacles and lush kelp beds are all expected dives on this trip. This isolated 20 mile long island is a photographers dream and for underwater hunters, Lobster season will be in full swing.
