Islander Charters: Captains reports and current news

Guadalupe Island Great White Shark Diving Trip, 11/14/09

We got back into the North Bay of Guadalupe Island just before sunrise and got the anchor down in mild winds.  Fortunately, in the middle of the first dive we saw our first Great White Shark and we continued that momentum until nearly the last dive.  We spotted four different Great White Sharks today including Shredder, an old favorite.  The White Sharks made plenty of close passes allowing for excellent film and video opportunites.

We had consistent breeze throughout the day but we were able to keep the shark cages operating for every rotation.  All in all, this was a good day of white shark viewing making up for yesterday’s slow action.  We plan on starting here for our last day.
