Last night was a bit bumpy but things mellowed out as the day progressed. We picked up a few bottom fish along the coast and devoted the rest of the day to travelling. We’ll be home in the mornning and then out the following day for a 6 day trip.

The weather was up a bit today but that didn’t keep the fish from biting. We got on a good school in deeper water early in the morning and they stuck with us as we drifted into the lunch time. By the time we landed our last fish our anglers and our tackle were showing [...]

We awoke to similar conditions today. Our morning was slow but we did eventually get on a couple of biting schools of good grade fish. We made several anchor jobs for minimal results but did find decent fishing while drifiting. All in all, a slower day but still decent action. All of our fish were [...]

We had beautiful travelling weather the whole way over and perfect weather waiting for us at Guadalupe Island when we arrived. We ketpt our eyes peeled for signs of fish as we worked down the island but saw little sign going south until below latitude bay. We got on a fair sized school just off [...]

We arrived at Guadalupe Island just after 1pm and began looking for a school to stop on. We found one fairly quickly and fortunately it bit pretty well out of the gates. For a while we had the whole boat hooked up and by the end we had over thirty Yellowfin. We worked up the island [...]

We started our day at the south end and got on some larger Yellowtail right after daylight. We made a couple short drifts for a few handfuls of thirty pounders before moving into Augustine bay. We found good bait signal along with several biting schools of Yellowtail. While the grade was excellent, the fish backed [...]

We spent today travelling to Cedros and looking for kelps along the way. Around lunch we had a drift for about 30 mixed fish, most of which were large Dorado. Throughout the course of the day we scratched away on kelps for well over 100 tuna and some more Dorado making it a fair day [...]

Our plan was to try to get a half day in the water at Sacramento Reef or San Martin Island but we still had wind and lots of it. We were not able to make any kind of speed going straight into it and were way behind schedule so we called it. We’ll travel up [...]
