Today was our last day here at Guadalupe Island. Some of our sharkdivers are catching 2pm flights tomorrow so today was a short dive day. Both Shredder and Bruce were back along with several other smaller male sharks. We finished up by 11am and put our shark cages aboard and cleared Guadalupe’s North head by [...]

Sunrise at Guadalupe Island is always a dramatic event. Guadalupe’s red cliffs illuminated by the morning light are unlike any other island in Mexico. When you add Great White Sharks circling the boat at dawn and it’s an unforgettable experience. There were two White Sharks around us from daylight and they stuck around almost all [...]

We arrived at Guadalupe Island early this morning and we were pleasantly surprised to find we had our White Shark diving site all to ourselves. We put the anchor down and went to work deploying our shark cages. Our shark divers struck out on the first dive rotation but had good action on the second [...]

With our shark cages loaded up, we departed for Isla Guadalupe on our first Great White Shark dive trip of the season. It’s a nice change of pace from our regular offshore fishing trips and we’re really looking forward to it. Our ETA is 7:30 am at Guadalupe Island. We have beautiful travelling weather with [...]

Tuna fishing continues to be ‘as good as it gets’ with limit style fishing for all. The majority of the fishing is kelp related and most trips are being made with one lucky kelp. To go along with the Tuna are mixed grade Dorado and Yellowtail. What we are experiencing right now is a combination [...]

To avoid the weekend traffic, we started a ways down the beach in search of Yellowfin Tuna. Our morning mostly consisted of steady Tuna jigstrikes. We had the occasional kelp for mixed bag fishing on Dorado, Yellowtail and more Yellowfin. The fishing stayed steady all day and we managed to put together a nice day. We’re fishing [...]

The best fishing seemed to be inside fifty miles and that’s were we started. There is no lack of kelp and some are packing some healthy schools of Tuna. We had very good fishing on school sized Yellowfin, Yellowtail and Dorado throughout the day. We all hope this continues and from the look of things it [...]

We started well below Ensenada and worked our way up all day. We looked at a lot of kelp and scratched on the Yellowfin Tuna. Some came off kelps, some on Dolphin. Things are really starting to shape up offshore and it looks like we’ll have Yellowfin well into the fall.

We made the run to fish Albacore and Yellowfin at 115 miles west in absolutely beautiful weather with clear blue skies and 0-5 knots of wind. We had a few short stops on mixed Yellowfin and Albacore in the morning and a couple hits before lunch. Unfortunately the afternoon float of previous days never took [...]
