No kelp on the way down this morning but we did have an open water Dorado school that provided some much needed mid-morning action. The rest of the day we managed to pick away and stay busy on small kelps but never found a good one.

One lucky kelp fixed us up for the trip today. After leaving that kelp, we only saw one more until dark. There is some very good kelp paddy fishing but very few kelps.

We picked up about 40 mixed fish in the morning on a few kelps. From there we kept travelling 150 miles south hoping to bump into a lucky kelp but never connected. It was a very long day of looking. There is just a huge lack of kelp down here. We’ll move back up tonight [...]
