Islander Charters continues to lead the way when it comes to kayak mothership trips with our second ambitous journey to the San Benitos islands and Cedros island. After numerous excursions to both San Clemente and Catlina islands, Todos Santos island and even the Cortez Bank we are again going farther and longer to the most fertile Yellowtail grounds on the coast - maybe the planet. This trip will give kayak anglers the opportunity to explore untouched areas inaccessible by boat or car. Potential rewards for the effort could be trophy size Yellowtail, Halibut, White Sea Bass and Calico Bass. These islands were custom made for kayak fisherman and this trip is a must for any 'yak' enthusiast ready for the next level. Islander's itinerary will include:

Pristine Islands: Cedros and Benitos are both well known for their fantastic Yellowtail fishing. These two islands are recognized world wide as the mecca for anyone eager to battle these fish. It is not uncommon to catch a limit in a matter of hours with each fish approaching or bigger than 40 pounds. The terrain at both islands is well suited to kayak fishermen with expansive areas of kelp as well as rocky coastline with submerged structure.

Coastal Pinnacles: There is a very good chance this trip will stop off at one or more coastal spots in search of White Sea Bass, Calico Bass or Yellowtail. Provided the weather offers workable conditions there are numerous possibilities en route to the islands.
