5-Day Guadalupe Island - Limited
to 22 passengers September 12-17, 2010
With 22 anglers on board this trip takes advantage of the Islander's spacious accommodations and large deck. Anglers will truly appreciate the light load when anchor fishing at Guadalupe Island or Cedros Island for trophy Yellowfin and Yellowtail respectively. Throw in great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and you've got the ingredients for a excellent trip.
Islander's itinerary may include:
Guadalupe Island:
September is prime time for Guadalupe and trophy size Yellowfin Tuna are the prime target. Record class Yellowtail are also a possibility here. Anglers should gear up accordingly as these fish demand proper tackle.
Cedros or Benitos Islands:
Fishing for Yellowtail in these areas is some of the best in the world and fish to 40 pounds can be a regular occurrence. White Sea Bass and Halibut are often caught at these islands as well. Cedros is truly a jig fisherman's heaven - come prepared with a long rod if you fit that profile.
Offshore Tuna Fishing:
September is still good timing for fantastic fishing offshore for tuna. Guadalupe may provide the size but a fast-paced stop on an open water school of Yellowfin is hard to beat.
Coastal Spots:The Baja coast has much to offer as far as fishing potential. Often a stop for Rock Cod, Bass or maybe Yellowtail will help to break up the travel home.
